Pamela’s interest in haircutting began as a child when she would constantly find herself sweeping hair at the local salon after school. She was fascinated by the process of haircutting and throughout her life, continued to be drawn to the craft despite explorations in other occupations. Anytime a friend needed a kitchen-cut, she was willing and available.
Finally, she took the leap and began her apprenticeship at Barrow Salon, completing her advanced education at Harper Paige, and is excited to make a home at Pony Salon! She believes that with the continuing (r)evolution of fashion, that education is a lifetime process. She is excited by the prospect that there will always be an element of pushing the envelope in this industry; but also, that keeping it simple can most times be the best solution. She loves helping clients achieve those styles that look good with minimal work, working with curly textures, and especially digs fun, bouncy bobs, slept-in, messy shags, and beautiful, face-framing bangs- a total sucker for curly bangs by the way! Her time away from the salon is spent learning the art of Flamenco, rolling on 2-wheels or 8, getting fresh air, supporting her local art and music community, and giving her Pibbles as many kisses as they can handle.
