What inspires you most? I am a huge film fan. I’m inspired by the cool style of film noir, the gritty looks of the 70’s, the manic realism of elevated horror and independent films of all types. Especially A24.

Marie is a second generation San Franciscan. Her family has been in the Mission since the 40’s. Her love of hair, film and fashion grew from watching Charlie’s Angels, Grease and The Outsiders. Never one for book learning, but always a fan of pop culture, Marie’s Puerto Rican grandmother encouraged her to attend beauty school. From there it was 10 years at famed “cool kids” salon Cowboys and Angels. Then in 2011 she cofounded Harper Paige Salon in Union Square SF and the Temescal District in Oakland. Marie has trained MANY successful and accomplished colorists in her 28 years as a color specialist. When she is not making pretty hair, she enjoys spending time with her kids Sophia 25, Zack 18, Badger 3 (cat) and Romy the puppy. Marie is stoked and inspired to be part of the Pony team.
